Owning a fine home is the fruit of one’s labor. Not so long ago there was a belief that hard work, perseverance and ingenuity had a payoff. In a recent Fox News interview with Jack Chambless, Economics Professor at Valencia College we saw a modern-day Johnny Appleseed.
Public school administrators are working hard to protect their domain and keep kids in their system. In many cases they see students leave for a charter or private school. It seems there is a vote of no confidence for the indoctrination machine. When parents choose to send kids to a more focused educational experience where they actually learn about the principles leading to success we all win. It is odd indeed that we have a generation that seems to think “the government” owes them everything. Too bad they have not learned “we the people” are the government.
It is true that to those who receive much, much is expected. The government cannot give to one man what it does not take from another.
